Founder story
Why we started.
Bancabl was founded by R.G. Brooks, who has spent two decades working across entrepreneurship, community development, and lending — from the kitchen table conversation to the credit committee.
The same pattern repeated in every market: capable business owners doing real work, turned away not because the business lacked promise, but because the path to becoming fundable was scattered across a dozen disconnected places. At the same time, institutions with capital to deploy struggled to find and evaluate the very businesses they were built to serve.
Bancabl exists to close that distance. Not with another program, another portal, or another point solution — but with the infrastructure the ecosystem has been missing.
